Directed and shot by Scott Karahadian, this is a wild flashback of a flashback of Coyote's flashback life. Coyote's lyrics tell of his trip to San Diego and how he crashed parties by the beach by jamming with the bands with his flute, strapped to his hip like a cowboy six-shooter pistol.

Steve GIVES COYOTE his Custom 500 Trophy Triumph Motorcyle. Steve and his dad are upgrading to the 650 Bonneville Triumphs.

"Bettie wanted me to ride with him, so he gave me a motorcycle. That's Steve for ya," explains Coyote.

The custom designed handlebars of Coyote's new bike look like steer antlers, heavy metal style.

"The orange flamed gas tank isn't what I would have asked for," says Coyote. "But I'm not complaining. The engine's been bored out to 580 or something -- and my favorite part: Steve said the speedometer detracted from the beauty of his custom designed handlebars -- so no speedometer."

Coyote's already had this lack of odometer/speedometer pointed out to him by a couple neighborhood policemen -- when they could catch him. I'll let Steve tell that story.

Steve and Coyote spend the most time together. They both like to sit and "veg out" listening to vinyl records and eating popcorn. They are true music lovers.

In the studio they each act as a coach for the other person. When Coyote's getting tired Steve will make him take a water break. When Steve's tired, Coyote makes him "jam-out" on something completely spontaneous. They're good for each other.

The Zen journey continues in Salt Lake City, Utah, where Coyote continues to battle the Church of Latter Day Saints, and avoid Moroni's golden horn.

Letters are sent to Coyote's employers to fire him, letters are sent to magazines and newspapers not to publish any more Coyote articles or poetry. An organization is created by the Mormons just to get Coyote and his hippie ponytail out of Utah.

Arriving in Utah, in the dead of winter, a foot of snow, his wheels all freeze and go flat...

Then he gets evicted and lives out of his van that winter before finding an apartment for his cat named, Celise, and his IBM Selectric typewriter. (Which was stolen by some relatives but recovered by the Sherriffs...)

The songs tell Coyote's life story as he battles Mormons, defeats firebugs, and begins his quest to return home to California.

poetry book:

Autumn Flavours

Autumn Flavours POETRY BOOK by The Hippy Coyote
Coyote's first book of poetry.
1967-1977

Sample poem from book

Formats:   PDF Download, Paperback, Hardcover
Genres:   Poetry

Description:   Coyote graduated High School in St. John's, Newfoundland. There, on that remote arctic island, they spell and speak the olde British tongue. Flavors is spelled, "flavours." Colors is spelled, "colours..." It's how he wrote it when he wrote it.

We modernized the name of the book for the website domain name of:
www.autumnFLAVORS.com
(Check out the website for more info.)

Coyote said there are a lot of writings in this book that surprised him. "I've changed a lot since my teenage years," Coyote professes.

This is Coyote's first book of poetry and contains several poems from his San Diego State College poetry classes.

This is the 'dark' period of Coyote's life, so the poetry is darkly experimental.
Sample poem from Autumn Flavours

Probably best read by persons 13 years or older.
