First book of 8 books to enlighten Americans and SOLVE ALL PROBLEMS
Richard Del Connor was "The Philosopher Poet" performing his lyrical, spiritual and sometimes comical poetry in Los Angeles book fairs, theaters, libraries and coffee shops from 2015 to 2019. At the end of each performance he would perform a solo original song on his flute.
During his 2018 performances Richard would sometimes perform a song he had written that very day. Since Richard has been teaching Buddhism since 1989 to his Shaolin Kung Fu students and was teaching classes at North Hollywood Park during those "Philosopher Poet" years... he began writing many poems with Buddhism themes and concepts. By the end of 2019 "Richard Del Connor the Philosopher Poet" was transformed into "Buddha Z the Buddhist Rapper."
He even began recording an album, 4 NOBLE TRUTHS OF BUDDHISM, of heavy metal guitars and his sometimes harsh and cynical but usually comical Buddhist rap lyrics.
Although the Covid-19 Pandemic Lockdown ended Buddha Z's performance career, he gathered together his poetry and realized he had the foundation of an 8-series to teach the English speaking world the concepts of Buddhism. More importantly, Buddha Z realized he could improve the world, end much suffering and provide a useful tool to people of ALL religions to SOLVE THEIR PROBLEMS.
In his poem, "Buddhism is Not a Religion," Buddha Z explains that Buddhism never had any Gods or churches or Heaven or Hells. Buddhism is the ORIGINAL PSYCHOLOGY created to teach people how to solve their problems without prayers, superstition or Karma.
Unfortunately, what the world now thinks Buddhism is was created by the Tibetans adding their "Book of the Dead" concepts, the Japanese adding their Government religion, and the American hippies adding "Karma" beliefs.
Enjoy this insightful and often amusing poetry that began the Buddha Z (Richard Del Connor) path to enlighten America in an 8-book series that will enlighten every person who reads them.
